SPSA enhances community preventive awareness

Sharjah 24: As part of the various training programmes, the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA) revealed that providing courses to 3185 trainees from the beginning of the year until the end of the third quarter of 2021.
The training courses aim at achieving one of its most important strategic goals towards enhancing the security of the population and protecting lives and property, by raising the level of preventive awareness for all segments of society.

His Excellency Sheikh Saif Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the SPSA, stated that the Authority’s constant endeavor towards community awareness is one of the most important ways towards achieving the Authority’s vision, which aims to reach a safe society free from dangers, and spreading the culture of prevention and safety.

Through awareness programmes, SPSA trained all segments of society, and the Authority continues to spread the concepts of prevention and safety.

His Excellency stressed the importance of raising awareness in avoiding many potential accidents in various facilities.

Engineer Lamia Al Noman, Director of the Support Services Department at SPSA, indicated that the goal of the training programmes is to educate community members on safety and prevention, which directly contributes to the security and safety of the entire community, and leads to anticipating and reducing accidents. 

Ms. Sheikha Al Ali, an executive manager of events at SPSA, explained that the Authority has provided various awareness campaigns during the current year, including the campus safety campaign, in collaboration with the University of Sharjah, where training workshops on safety procedures were introduced to university students.
 
Al Ali added that the Authority, trained 360 teachers in Sharjah private schools, in cooperation with the Sharjah Private Education Authority, as part of its annual plan, whereas the Authority launched the back to school safely initiative in light of Covid-19, which aims to raise awareness on safety procedures.
