Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Education Council's Central Region Parents Council honoured a group of first-line defence Emirati women volunteers Friday evening at the Preventive Medicine Centre in Al Dhaid, in commemoration of Emirati Women's Day.

Rashid Abdullah Al Mehyan, Chairman of the Central Region Parents' Council, Khalifa Al Tunaiji, Director of Preventive Medicine in Al Dhaid, and members of the Parents Council attended the honouring ceremony, which took into account all preventive measures to protect society from the spread Corona virus.

During the ceremony, Rashid Abdullah Al Mehyan praised Emirati women for their outstanding contributions to community service at all levels and in a variety of fields, particularly in light of the Corona virus's ramifications.

Khalifa Al Tunaiji, Director of Preventive Medicine in Al Dhaid, hailed the gesture, which shows due respect to Emirati women represented by volunteers of the Al Bustan Suburb Council, female employees and council members, and emphasised that Emirati women set a shining example of perseverance and courage, given the magnitude of the wise leadership's keenness to provide, support, and empower women.
