SEWA explores cooperation with Digital Sharjah Office

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) , received at the Authority’s headquarters, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of Digital Sharjah Office, to discuss cooperation and necessary measures to achieve digital transformation in the services provided by the Authority. The meeting also discussed digital transformation requirements and needs to ensure efficient implementation using advanced technical systems, based on the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, to promote digital transformation and achieve sustainability in providing services.
His Excellency the Chairman of SEWA stressed that the Authority is working to adopt best practices, build an advanced digital system that works around the clock to sustainably serve the community, enhance and develop the lives of individuals using data safely, and provide integrated services to all individuals with simplified work mechanisms that save their effort and time.

During the meeting, His Excellency reviewed the latest developments in SEWA digital transformation projects and plans, infrastructure development plans and initiatives that support digital transformation.  Al Suwaidi stressed that the Authority exerts efforts to transform all services into digital and is keen to enhance Sharjah efforts in the field of digital transformation, which enhances the efficiency and quality of services provided.

Al Suwaidi added that SEWA is ready to cooperate with Digital Sharjah Office and all government agencies and institutions and to take all administrative, technical and organisational measures and steps that contribute to achieving digital transformation and strengthening institutional partnership, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of services and keeping pace with developments through the Sharjah digital platform and the official portal of the government.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of Digital Sharjah Office, stressed the keenness of the office to cooperate with SEWA and all other government agencies in Sharjah to implement programmes and initiatives for digital transformation to develop the skills of professionals, and to provide various types of digital transformation, support, consultations and suggestions aimed at overcoming the challenges and obstacles hindering digital transformation.
