Sharjah 24: In a poetry evening organised by the Al Hirah Literary Council of the Department of Culture Wednesday, the two poets Khalfan Abdullah Al Kaabi and Mohammed bin Za’al Al Falasi starred with sentimental and remarkable poems, in the presence of Butti Al Mazloum, director of the council, and an audience of Nabati poetry lovers.

Moderated by Saif Rashid Al Jaberi, the evening, which was transmitted through the social networking sites and the Department’s website, highlighted the importance of Nabati poetry as transmitter of the history and heritage of peoples' civilisations. 

Al Jaberi explained that the council’s attention to the Nabati poetry reflects Sharjah's cultural vision under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

At the end of the evening, Butti Al Mazloum honoured the two poets, and the media personality, Saif Rashid Al Jabri, in appreciation of their active participation.
