AQU and Awqaf sign MOU for research

Sharjah 24:Al-Qasimia University (AQU) and Sharjah Awqaf singed today a memorandum of understanding with the goal of cooperating in the sectors of scientific studies and applied research. It also aims at supporting research initiatives, mainly in Shariah studies and endowment domains.
The MOU aims at strengthening cooperative relations in a variety of fields, conducting studies and collaborative projects, and exchanging experiences and training, all with the goal of forming a long-term strategic partnership. It also facilitates collaborative organization of conferences, scientific forums, workshops, and a variety of training programmes according to the most recent advancements and best practices.

The memorandum effectively translates the directives of the President of Al Qasimia University, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, regarding the necessity of cooperation between institutions with common goals in all disciplines, which will be reflected on the services of the Emirate of Sharjah, expand educational opportunities and benefit from collective experience.

Prof. Awad Al-Khalaf, Al-Qasimia University's Acting Director, emphasised the significance of such memorandums in creating a scientific environment that encourages developing solid traditions of scientific research in diverse disciplines of knowledge for the institutions  and this will help in attaining the university's strategic goals. 

The MOU, according to Taleb Ibrahim Al Merri, Director of Awaqaf, represents the department's continued success in achieving its objectives, and emphasizes the necessity of building a long-term cooperation with the university for the betterment of the department's services. He explained that the MOU strengthens cooperation by allowing the department and the university to establish a combined educational endowment.
