During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the Nepalese President and expressed his hope that her visit will be an important step in the process of growing relations between the two countries and friendly peoples.
The parties reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries in various economic, developmental and investment fields, and ways of developing them to serve their common interests.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said that the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, seeks to strengthen and develop relations with Nepal to achieve the country's policy and approach in building bridges of cooperation and friendship with friendly countries.
The Nepalese President expressed her satisfaction with the level of relations between the two countries, stressing her country's keenness to develop and strengthen these relations, and benefit from the UAE's development experience.
Sheikh Mohamed and President Bhandari talked about the conference, which is an international health forum focused on eliminating and eradicating preventable deadly diseases that hinder the health and economic prospects of the world’s poorest people. It will also recognise the tremendous efforts of those that have committed their lives to fighting disease on the frontline of affected countries while additionally, supporting international efforts to fight infectious diseases through public-private partnerships.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments in the region, as well as a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, Jayant Chand, Nepalese Minister of Supplies, Dr. Madan Kumar Bhattarai, Foreign Policy Adviser to President of Nepal, and Shanker Das Bairagi, Under-Secretary of the Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
