Khalifa Foundation completes distribution of food packages in Palestine and Lebanon

Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, KF, has completed its Iftar Project in Palestinian territories and refugee camps in Lebanon.
The project was implemented in co-operation with the Palestinian Centre For Human Perseverance (FATA). The Foundation distributed 32,000 food parcels to needy families in Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, West Bank and the Palestinian refugee tents in Lebanon.
The gesture is as per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Foundation.
KF hailed the good organisation of the project this year through the distribution of high-quality food parcels and choosing of beneficiaries.
Jalila Dahlan, Head of FATA, stressed that the distribution of food parcels enhances social solidarity in the Palestinian society and in support of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, especially in Jerusalem, Gaza Strip and in the refugee camps in the West Bank and Lebanon. She said it helped alleviate the suffering of needy Palestinian families during the Holy Month of Ramadan in light of the difficult living and economic conditions they have been experiencing.
She also thanked President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed for their consistent support in continuation of the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
