Sharjah24: In the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Aisha bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and under the patronage of Prof. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, the Deanship of Student Affairs organised the fifth reading festival: "We All Read", whose activities continue throughout the week as the festival includes a set of various cultural, literary and artistic activities, in addition to a book exhibition with the participation of more than 20 publishing houses and cultural institutions.
The exhibition also includes many workshops and dialogue sessions literary, scientific, cultural and poetic by hosting an elite group of writers and poets, which aims to instill the value of reading in the students because of its impact on great self-development and personal refinement.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Prof. Qutayba Hamid Al Heialy, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences and Dean of College of Medicine, along with Dr. Salah Taher, Vice Chancellor of the University for Community Affairs; Dr. Muhammad Safi Mostaghanemi, Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy; Dr. Salama Al Rahoomi, Dean of Women's Student Affairs; and a number of College Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments, faculty and staff members, and female students.

The Festival started with a tour of the book exhibition and its accompanying events, and among the most prominent events, workshops and training lectures that will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition during the week are: a symposium of linguistic miracles in the Holy Qur’an by Dr. Muhammad Mostaghanemi, and a daily training program entitled "Let Your Fingers Speak" on the basics of sign language by Prof. Muhammad Mustafa, sign language interpreter at the Disability Resource Center at the University of Sharjah.

The exhibition will also include a set of discussion sessions, including "Reading in the Book of Nanotechnology", presented by Prof. Nouar Tabet, Dean of the College of Science at the University of Sharjah; a reading in the book of phoneme, which was treated by intonation scholars, presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Kubaisi, Head of the Department of Fundamentals of Religion at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies; along with "Reading in the Book of Intellectual Security in Islamic History" by Dr. Naguib bin Khaira, Associate Professor from the Department of History at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sharjah; and finally, "Reading in the Book of Nutrition and Cancer" by Dr. Moez Islam Fares from the College of Health Sciences, University of Sharjah.

In addition to many workshops, including the “Book Parts” workshop, presented by the University’s studio; the “Art of Presenting and Influencing Others” workshop by Prof. Hashem Al Wali, Counselor at the Emirates Council Ambassadors Association; the workshop “Fundamentals of Writing a Children's Story” by Dr. Badia Al Hashemi from the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Sharjah; and the workshop on fast reading techniques entitled "How to Read a Book in a Day", presented by Professor Nizar Al-Qahtani.

The Festival will also host the famous writer Hind to talk about her personal experience in writing, and the young women of the University of Sharjah will provide various entertainment and literary shows for the storytellers, and books will be signed by a number of faculty members and Emirati writers.

The Festival concluded with the announcement of the results of the Reading Star Competition at the University of Sharjah 2020, which was obtained by the student Fatima Manaf Al Naddawi from the College of Engineering, and the participating parties were also honored in the book fair, including: Al Qasimi Publications, the Department of Culture, the Association of Emirati Publishers, and the Digital Knowledge Center. Also honored: the Scientific Publishing Unit of the University of Sharjah, the Disability Resource Center, the Arab Reader Center, the House of Books for Trade, the House of Knowledge for Publishing and Distribution, the Golden Book House for Publishing and Distribution, the Papers House for Publishing and Distribution, the House of Light Sciences, the Bibliusmia House for Publishing and Distribution, and the Inspirational House for Publishing and distribution, and Dar Al-Hudhud for Publication and Distribution, the Title House for Publication and Distribution, and Qandil for Printing, Publishing and Distribution, and the Treasures of Knowledge for Publication and Distribution, and the Idea and Color Library.
