Sharjah 24: The Board of Directors of Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped in Sharjah reviewed the final preparations for organising the tenth edition of the Sharjah International Open Athletics Meeting for Handicapped to be held from 7-9 March, on Al Thiqa Club’s track.
This came during a meeting of the Board of Directors of Al Thiqa Club, headed by Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadem, Chairman of Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped, in the presence of several officials.

Welcoming the attendees at the meeting, Bin Khadem extended his thanks and appreciation to the members of the Club for their efforts to provide the best services to the club members and follow-up work within the club. He also praised the new initiatives of the board that clarify the club’s role in community partnership with all classes and segments of society.

During the meeting, the board discussed the club's preparations to host the Sharjah International Open Athletics Meeting for Handicapped, identified the participating countries and the competitions held, and preparations of work teams and technical and administrative cadres so that the championship reflects the ideal and bright image of the Emirate of Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates at large.

Ahmed Salem Hamad Al Mazloum, Executive Director of Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped, reviewed the club’s strategic plan for 2020 and the operational programmes for the working committees of the club, as well as the Club’s achievements and activities.
