Sharjah24: American Paralympic champion John Register, the silver winner 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, delivered a lecture at the Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped on challenges and its role in achieving achievements.
This came during the club’s reception of a delegation from the Consulate General of the United States of America in Dubai that includes the Paralympic champion John Register, where the American champion was received by Issa Hilal the Secretary-General of the Sharjah Sports Council and Kaltham Obaid Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Thiqah Club, and a number of the club’s champions in various sports and parents of club members with disabilities.

Issa Hilal, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Sports Council, stressed that the emirate’s reception of American champion John Register is a guide to Sharjah’s embrace of all issues of determination, as well as our interest in living, creative models in various sports, especially those with disabilities.
