Organised by Sajaya in collaboration with Sharjah Youth, Sharjah Children Centres, FUNN – Sharjah Media Arts for Youth and Children and Sharjah Girl Guides, the event aims to equip youngsters with creative skills and techniques that will enable them to better express their thoughts and dreams through the art installations they will design.
The eight-day “Art Project” forms part of Sajaya’s strategy to guide youngsters, direct them to discover their artistic capabilities and encourage them to turn their inspirational ideas into artwork, with the ultimate goal being to build a generation that is creative across a number of artistic disciplines.
The annual Sajaya Art Project was conceived to develop the talent of young artists and to add to their set of skills that will help them become successful leaders able to best represent their country locally and internationally.
The event is also an invaluable opportunity for Sajaya to strengthen its collaboration with a variety of other organisations that share the same objective of nurturing the talents of young people and creating a cadre of future leaders.
Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah is dedicated to developing the talents of young girls in the age group of 13-18 years in all creative spheres. It was established in 2004 under the umbrella of Sharjah Children’s Centres before becoming an independent entity in 2012 following an administrative decree from Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation.
