Sharjah 24: Statistics issued by the Strategy and Performance Development Department of the General Command of Sharjah Police, revealed that the number of worrying crimes per 100,000 people in the Emirate of Sharjah, decreased during the first half of 2020 by 26% compared to the same period last year.
Brigadier General Ahmed Haji Al Serkal, Director General of Police Operations in Sharjah Police, praised the efforts of all specialised teams in enhancing security and safety, which helped in reducing the worrying crime rate in the Emirate.

Brigadier Al Serkal maintained that this comes due to the implementation of appropriate plans to reduce the occurrence of all kinds of crimes, and increasing the percentage of the security presence around the clock in all vital sites in the Emirate of Sharjah. In addition to, organising comprehensive awareness-raising initiatives and campaigns, which lead to  achieving such tangible results.

The Director General of Police Operations in Sharjah Police pointed out that the General Command of Sharjah Police has spared no effort to upgrade the security system and improve the performance of police work, through harnessing all the capabilities available in its efforts to achieve security and safety for all members of society.
