Sharjah Police Committee for preparing Sharjah to join ‘Age-friendly Cities’ discusses strategic plan

Sharjah 24: As part of the follow-up to Sharjah's membership of Global Network for Age-friendly Cities, the Sharjah Police Headquarters organised a meeting to review Sharjah’s project for the membership.

The meeting also reviewed Sharjah Police’s efforts to consolidate its vital role in developing the elderly care services in the emirate.

Chaired by Lt. Col. Tareq Al-Midfa, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and Coordinator-General of the Committee, the meeting also reviewed the Strategic Plan 2017-2020 set by the Supreme Committee to prepare Sharjah to join Global Network for Age-friendly Cities.

Sharjah Police General Directorate’s initiatives in line with Sharjah’s strategy to transform into an age –friendly city through the development of government agencies’ services to provide happiness and well-being for all segments of the community were also addressed at the meeting.

Held at the UAE Martyrs Hall at police headquarters,  the meeting was attended by Major  Mohammed Ally  Al-Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department, representatives of the concerned departments and a number of officers from Sharjah Police’s different departments.
