SEDD sees 14% growth in licensing during June

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) announced that the emirate's economic development indicators have achieved remarkable growth during the month of June 2020.
The growth rate recorded 14 percent in comparison to the same period of last year with 5206 licences being issued or renewed during this June, compared to 4966 in June 2019.

In addition, SEDD was able to process 20052 transactions during June 2020, of which 15534 through service centres, 3562 through digital services platforms, and 956 through direct email communication.

Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, stated that the data indicates a significant increase in investments, which are indicators of sustainable growth in the emirate.

Al Suwaidi pointed out that SEDD works extensively to simplify the services and procedures to facilitate business registrations, issuance of licences and provide greater flexibility for investors and dealers allowing them to establish their business quickly. Besides, the department continues to assist investors by coordinating with the various local and federal government agencies.

Al Suwaidi also stressed SEDD’s keenness to promote Sharjah Government’s visions to provide all digital services that facilitate the business environment. Thus, SEDD demonstrated a high efficiency in its digital infrastructure, which was reflected in the quality and smoothness of its services and helped investors and owners of companies to complete their transactions easily and conveniently.

He added that the digital transformation in SEDD services, which reached 100%, contributed to maintaining the progress of business and services in these exceptional circumstances.
