Sharjah 24: The preliminary performance tests of the Sharjah Media Corporation’s (SMC) Munshid, at its tenth edition this year, qualified 20 applicants from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman following a remarkable performance by the participants last Thursday.
Commenting on the results, Najmuddin Hashim, the executive producer of Munshid programme, said that the type of participations during the first round of tests was remarkable, pointing out that the diversity of advanced voices in both Saudi Arabia and Oman augurs well for the season and adds to the Munshid experience in the Arab World.

He added that the jury in both countries has identified the participants who have passed the pre-examination stage, revealing a selection of voices that will increase the competitiveness of participants in the next stages of the programme.

The programme’s team is preparing on the 14th of this month to go to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum to search for the most beautiful and talented voices, where applicants will be received from 8 am to 8 pm at the Corinthia Hotel.

The Organising Committee of the programme is conducting tests in ten Arab countries: Sudan, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon and the UAE, following its tour in the Kingdom and the Sultanate. The participating talents in all countries will be from 08:00 to 20:00. An online application deadline for all countries is from 10 August to September 10, on the website of the Sharjah Munshid: www.smc.ae/monshid.
