Al-Tarifi explained that the initiatives of the SM during the "Year of Giving", confirms its commitment to the values of giving under the Government of Sharjah in support of all images of giving, under the guidance and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
He added that the Municipality has launched comprehensive initiatives since the beginning of this year. Such as “Umrah Al Khair” was organised for 60 workers from the help groups in the municipality and the "maintenance for your home" initiative to maintain the homes of low-income families in cooperation with Sharjah Charity Association.
In addition to the holy month of Ramadan, the municipality also organised iftar meals, for more than 3000 workers, and distributing Ramadan Meer to some families and fasting people in some streets and squares of the city.
In a further humanitarian gesture to the SM, the Municipality decided to exempt the vehicles of the Foundation of the Holy Quran and Sunnah from pre-paid parking fees, thus saving time and effort on them. it was also agreed that the proceeds of the public parking fees surrounding of Sharjah Humanitarian City will be returned to the city to serve its high goals, also a number of other initiatives and events organised by the Municipality.
