Department of Public Works completes Al Falah and Al Layyah nurseries

Sharjah24: In accordance with the grant of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish 66 nurseries in Sharjah, the Department of Public Works, SDPW, has completed the incubation of Al-Layyah and Al-Falah nurseries, after the completion of all construction, executive and furnishing work in the framework of providing educational facilities and standards.

Eng. Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, head of SDPW, said: "the Standing Committee was formed to meet the requirements of nurseries composed of several governmental bodies when His Highness ordered to establish 66 nurseries for children of women workers in schools and government entities.

Al Suwaidi added that the department completed the construction work at the nursery in Al Falah area and furnished it at a cost of 12 million dirhams total of 160 children. The building area is 2100 square meters. It includes 8 classes of activities, indoor and outdoor games hall, dining hall, library, administration rooms and clinic.

Alia Al Rand, Director of Buildings Projects Department, said: "Work has been completed for the nursery of the Al Layyah area at a cost of 12 million dirhams total of 160 children.
