  • SCCI launches phase 1 of "Mehnati" initiative
Sharjah 24: Within the framework of the “Mehnati” initiative for field training implemented by the Sharjah Training and Development Centre of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the Centre organised, on Monday, an introductory tour for a number of university students enrolled in the initiative in the departments of the SCCI, as a first stage for the launch of the scientific training programme that takes place over two months.
During the tour, the participants learned about the nature of the work carried out by the organisational units and divisions of the SCCI.

“Mehnati” aims, through a series of training programmes, to contribute to preparing university graduates at the UAE level for the labour market.

Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, SCCI’s Director-General, emphasised that the initiative comes as a translation of the SCCI’s strategy to create training programmes for Emirati graduates in order to support and qualify them with the necessary skills to work in the private sector, in line with the Cabinet’s decision that provides for training about 8,000 graduates annually in government and semi-government companies, as well as private sector enterprises, with the aim of preparing them for the labour market.
