Seminar on SCC Elections highlights Emirati women’s role

Sharjah 24: The seminar organised by Higher Committee for the Sharjah Consultative Council Elections has underscored the importance of the role of Emirati women in the electoral process, highlighting their effective contribution to the parliamentary affairs, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The seminar, which was held at Sharjah Ladies Club, witnessed the attendance of His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Nassar, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Sharjah Consultative Council Elections, and Her Excellency Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Chairperson of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), as well as several other officials and dignitaries.

The seminar discussed the significant role of the Emirati women, highlighting their great contributions and achievements in various fields, thanks to the continuous support of the wise leadership.

Reviewing the achievements of the parliamentary work of the Sharjah Consultative Council, His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Nassar has underscored the importance of Emirati women’s participation in the elections, stressing that it is a national duty through which the citizen can express their loyalty to the beloved country.

For her part, Her Excellency Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla briefed the attendees on her experience as the first woman that chairs the Sharjah Consultative Council, shedding lights on His Highness’ great efforts in empowering women in various fields.
