Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi opens Al Mafraq Park in Kalba

Sharjah 24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Chief of the Sharjah Ruler's Office in Kalba, opened Sunday Al Mafraq Park in the presence of a number of departments’ officials. The Park is part of neighbourhood gardens project implemented by the Public Works Department to meet the needs of the people in various cities of Sharjah.
After the opening, Sheikh Haitham toured the park, which sits on more than 9 thousand square metres, with green areas exceeding 3,000 square metres, in addition to 1800 seasonal flowers and 20 large trees in addition to about 2,000 diverse shrubs.

The park features a hexagonal football field, fitted with artificial grass, as well as a rubber running track, about 500 meters long and 3 meters wide.

Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, Director of the Municipality, said that the garden has been provided with many service facilities.

The Public Works Department was keen to provide the park with many entertainment facilities, including children's play areas with quality and safety standards, fitness equipment for the elderly, as well as a platform for charging smart phones powered by solar energy.
