Sharjah Children opens refurbished Al Dhaid Children Centre

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Children, a subsidiary of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, Thursday, reopened Al Dhaid Children Centre following refurbishment to receive children with the best services and standards that meet their needs in various fields.
The opening ceremony was attended by Reem Bin Karam, Director of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment; Rashed Abdullah Al Mehyan, Chairman of the Parents Council in the Central Region; a number of employees of Sharjah Children, Sajaya Young Ladies, Sharjah Youth and parents.

The opening programme included a variety of activities and workshops where children demonstrated creativity by drawing paintings, which reflected the UAE national identity and heritage.

The opening also included a range of sports activities, competitions and water games that promote the values of teamwork, responsibility, sportsmanship, love of challenge and competition.

Aisha Ali Al Kaabi, Acting Director of Sharjah Children, said: “Based on our vision of being a community partner in building informed and influential generations, the strategic plan for the development of centres, and achievement of quality standards, Sharjah Children attaches large attention to provide proper and safe environment for children in which they develop their skills and sharpen their talents. Our constant endeavour is to modernise and develop the 14 centres in the emirate.”

Al Kaabi added that the reopening of the Al Dhaid Children Centre came following its renovation and additions. She further explained: “We have added aesthetic and creative touches, interactive spaces and equipped halls, as well as other facilities to unleash children’s creativity in the various activities including sports, arts, science and technology, literature, languages, entrepreneurship and life skills.”
