Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Municipality (SM) has organised a campaign to remove illegal desert camps scattered randomly in various areas of the emirate, in cooperation with Bee'ah, Department of Environmental Services and the Department of Public Services.
The campaign aims to eliminate disfiguring and defacing aspects and monitoring negative phenomena.

The 67 desert camps, which had been built without obtaining prior approvals from the concerned authorities, were all destroyed at Bee’ah’s Company branch in Al Sajaa Area. Owners of the camps were warned on the dangers and negative effects of such camps.

Khalifa Bu Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Head of Municipal Inspection Department, said that the Municipality organises regular campaigns to remove the camps violating the regulations and their owners are notified of the necessity of removing them.
