Sharjah 24: The Municipal Affairs, Agriculture and Livestock Department in Sharjah - Al Dhaid Branch, has launched a campaign to guide farmers and consolidate good agricultural practices and organic farming, and encourage them to adopt modern and innovative technologies in agriculture.
The campaign focuses on using appropriate technical solutions to develop farmers 'capacities, introduce new crops and improved varieties, and increase farmers' economic returns.

Salem bin Mohammed Al Naqbi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs Department, said that this year's plan will focus on achieving the goal of establishing the organic agriculture principle in accordance with Federal Law No (5) of 2009 and its executive regulation on organic inputs and products, No (84) of 2012.

He added that the Department is striving to achieve the desired goals through the visits and guidance that it has started during July in the branch of the Department in Al Dhaid City.

Faisal Al Darmaki, Director of the Department at Al Dhaid Branch, said that the advisory visits focus on monitoring the conditions of the farmers, providing technical and guidance support to farm owners and workers and raising awareness of the best agricultural practices through visits and workshops.
