Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) has organised a competition to select the best children ambassadors for energy rationalisation. The competition is part of the summer camp for Sharjah Children, an affiliate of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators.
Twelve children from 3 centres qualified for the competition through design of models for alternative energy uses and the presentation of energy saving technologies such as LED. The selected projects also included a story, in Arabic and English, on the importance of electricity and water in our lives and methods of rationalisation.

SEWA honoured the qualified children and granted them the title "Ambassadors of Rationalisation", in addition to a set of prizes.

Dr. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA, said that the Authority continues its efforts to enhance the participation of children and school students in environment protection issues and instill in them a culture of energy and water conservation since an early age, as they are the future generations on whom the progress and prosperity of the society depends.
