Sharjah24 – dpa: Four US service members were injured when a suicide bomber targeted a foreign forces' convoy in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Monday afternoon.
A "vehicle-born" explosive detonated in Kandahar, NATO's Resolute Support Mission spokesman Kone Faulkner confirmed to dpa.

All four are in stable condition in US medical treatment facilities, Faulkner said, adding that more information may be released as appropriate.

Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said the group claimed responsibility for the suicide attack and had inflicted heavy casualties to the foreign forces.

Earlier on Monday, at least eight Afghan police officers were killed in a Taliban attack in western Afghanistan, an official said.
