Sharjah24 – Reuters: North Korea opened an exhibition and seminar on education science in Pyongyang, state media reported on Monday ,December 9.
In the video provided by the North's official news agency KCNA, North Korean officials, teachers, and educational researchers are seen looking at books and other educational equipment on display at the Sci-Tech Complex, where more than 630 educational tools and 200 papers were presented, it said.

The 1st National Exhibition of Achievements in Education Science and the 4th National Seminar on Education Science marked the 60th anniversary of North Korea's Pedagogical Institute, according to KCNA.

North Korea introduced the universal 12-year compulsory education system consisting of one year of kindergarten, five years of primary school, three years of junior secondary school and three years of senior secondary school in 2014.

The exhibition and seminar will be held till December 13, KCNA added.
