This service was developed due to the fact that Sharjah holds an excellent investment environment, especially in the industrial sector, in addition to its strategic location in the map and its ownership of a large number of industrial zones.
Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, pointed out that the Department encourages the economic investments and supports business in the Emirate. Al Suwaidi clarified that the systems and procedures adopted in the act of registration and licensing of industrial enterprises help to create an attractive environment for investments under the emirate's infrastructure, facilities, services and facilities as a result of the cooperation of government agencies in Sharjah to provide all support to businessmen and investors.
In addition, Al Suwaidi stated that the Department was able to reduce the tie of completing the licenses and various transactions through a number of actions taken to develop services that are placed to meet the highest standards of international quality.
Furthermore, he added that SEDD adopts a clear strategy of leading the industrial development in the emirate successfully, whereby it has shifted from the act of issuing and managing licenses to developing investments. This strategy was applied due to the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to improve and develop the industrial as well as commercial sectors in Sharjah.
From her side, Mariam Nasir Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Industrial Affairs Department in SEDD, clarified that the launch of such services comes in order to provide quality services to industrial investors in the emirate, and to overcome all the obstacles that prevent the increase of industrial investments in Sharjah. In addition it helps in organising and improving the industrial performance as well as guiding the new investors to adopt quality, excellence and mastery.
Moreover, she carried on that the Department works on developing number of new mechanisms to create a kind of sustainable and effective communication that would enable the service to move closer to the industry sector. She added that SEDD adopted the technical teams' mechanisms, analytical visits, surveys, field visits, standard comparisons and the formation of an industrial data bank to develop new mechanisms for the management, design and implementation of industrial development policies in the Emirate of Sharjah.
In addition, Al Suwaidi lauded SEDD’s role in organising the industrial sector and studying the industrial indicators to provide a successful industrial environment through working to solve the challenges and follow up the practices that slowdown the industrial development.
