Sharjah 24: In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Youth, Sharjah Documentation and Archiving Authority (SDAA)’s Youth Council organised two virtual interactive workshops for different segments of society, under the Emirates Youth Summer Academy, part of the Youth Councils.
The virtual workshops were presented by a number of special experts from SDAA in the field of history, with the aim of educating and raising the participants historical and cultural awareness.

The first workshop addressed effective reading habits, encouraging the youth to cultivate their time with enriching reading time, and included a number of topics on ways to search for trusted and approved articles, as well as the best ways to improve reading skills.

The second workshop aimed to raise the youth’s awareness of documenting, touching on a number of themes related to documenting the memory of the great nation. The workshop also discussed the meaning of documentation, the ways in which such activity is carried out, and the reason behind it, as well as, the different types of documentation.

For her part, Safia bin Jarash, Head of the SDAA’s Youth Council, noted that such workshops came from SDAA’s true belief in empowering youth to become future leaders in the United Arab Emirates, stressing that SDAA will work on the upcoming period to present a set of vital projects and initiatives that will constitute real achievements, in line with the national agenda for the UAE youth.
