Ramendra Kumar: Sharjah is special place to visit

Sharjah 24: On the sidelines of the 11th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF 2019), Ramendra Kumar, an award-winning Indian writer for children with 35 books to his credit, has expressed his pleasure to participate in this cultural event, emphasising that Sharjah is really special place to visit.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, the Indian writer stressed that the SCRF’s activities are unbelievable, highlighting Sharjah’s distinguished role in enhancing the meaning of art, culture, and literature, which contribute in the successful honouring that the emirate had recently achieved the title of Sharjah World Book Capital 2019.

Stressing that the Festival is extremely interesting and fascinating, He added,” The kind of love for books, which I’m seeing here, I’ve not seen anywhere. I’ve been to different countries and different continent, I’ve travelled all across the world, but Sharjah to me is really special.”

He further concluded that such special event will encourage the children to read more, stressing on the genuine importance of reading.

He has also called on a variety members of the Indian society to make such special reading festival, which is remarkably distinguished by its activities related to reading.
