Sharjah 24: Al Wusta, a Sharjah Radio and Television Authority-affiliated channel from Al Dhaid, has completed its fifth year, having been launched on the twelfth of September 2016 upon the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to be the authority's fifth satellite channel.

Over the course of five years, the channel aired 107 programs covering a wide range of social, cultural, heritage, entertainment, religious, and sports topics, as well as a series of documentaries highlighting the region's civilizational and cultural renaissance.
 
The channel attracts a large number of viewers from the central region and neighbouring regions, as well as a diverse audience from the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf countries, and the Arab world.
 
Al Wusta from Al Dhaid channel, has won several awards for its programming, most notably the Gold Award at the Cairo Radio and the channel also organized the "Al-Wusta Camel Festival" and helped train and qualify people in the central region for work in the media in its various specialties.
 
Sharjah Radio and Television Authority operates a number of television and radio channels, including Sharjah Channel, Sharjah Sports Channel, Al Sharqiya Channel from Kalba, Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid, Sharjah Channel 2, Sharjah Radio, and Sharjah's Holy Quran Radio, Plus 95 English speaking radio in addition to Sharjah Media Training Centre.
