Sharjah 24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police (SP), extended his deepest thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness’ continuous and limitless support to the Sharjah Police, and His Highness' keenness to provide them with a decent life.

His Excellency Major General Al Shamsi lauded Sharjah Ruler's directives with regard to the first phase of the "Sultan for a Decent Living" project, which included increasing the salaries of 453 retired employees of SP in the federal cadre, with a retroactive effect of 3 years, and equalising them with the salaries of retirees from the local police cadre. 

His Excellency Major General Al Shamsi added that this decision reflects on the lives of the retirees of the Emirate of Sharjah, especially on the families of the deceased retirees, who devoted their lives to police work, with its various risks, with sincerity and dedication.

His Excellency continued that this decision translates Sharjah Ruler's care towards the people of Sharjah, and His Highness's continuous follow-up to their lives and their families.
