Sharjah 24: The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) expressed its thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous support of seventh Sharjah International Tour for Cycling 2022, which will be held at the beginning of next year.

His Excellency Issa Hilal, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), chaired a meeting of SSC held at Al Suhub Rest Area in Khorfakkan, in which His Excellency congratulated the members on the one-year anniversary of the formation of the current board of directors.

His Excellency praised the efforts made by members and committees during the past period, and highlighted the keenness to continue excellence during the coming period.

SSC also approved the formation of members of the Kalba Beach Games Championship, which will be held in Kalba during the month of November, and includes seven different games.

The Chairman of SSC also praised the efforts made by the Al Hamriyah and Dibba Al Hisn Clubs to include basketball in the team games, which constitutes a new addition and expansion of sports. 

His Excellency Eng. Adel Saleh Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Media and Digital Transformation Committee, also spoke about the details of a proposal for the Sharjah Sports Council's periodical magazine.

At the end of the meeting, the members toured Al Suhub Rest Area, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah last July.
