Sharjah Children concludes 1st period of its summer camp

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Children, affiliated to the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, concluded the activities of its summer camp for the first period, which was held during the period from 4 to 15 July, via the “Zoom” video communication technology, targeting children in the age group of 6- 12 years from the centres and the general public.
The activities of the closing week included a variety of workshops, including an art workshop entitled "Draw with Us" presented by Yousef Ali Al Ali, from the Sharjah Youth Centre.

Within the course of general activities and life skills, a workshop was held in cooperation with the Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, presented by Mira Al Hammadi, during which it dealt with how to prepare pancakes in an easy and fast way. In addition to an awareness workshop entitled “Masoud Al Batal”, in cooperation with the Child Safety Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.

As for the narrator, Afnan Al Khalidi, from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, she presented a reading workshop that met with great interaction by the children, where she told them a story entitled "Watermelon on Mars", through which she aimed to educate children about the importance of friendship and how to choose friends.

Sharjah Children also held an interactive workshop, in cooperation with Al Muharraq Youth Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which included games, activities and competitions.

In order to introduce the children participating in the camp to the most prominent tourist attractions in the country, Sharjah Children also held several virtual trips.
