Sharjah24 – AFP: One million doses of the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) Covid-19 vaccine donated by the United States through the Covax vaccine-sharing scheme arrive at a Bolivian Air Force base in El Alto, a city neighbouring the administrative capital La Paz, as the South American country slowly recovers from a third wave of the pandemic.
Commenting on this, Jeyson Auza, health minister of Bolivia said, "These 1,008,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccines alone, which are single-dose, will allow for the vaccination of approximately 14 percent of our vaccine-eligible population."

The health minister of Bolivia added, "We have made great progress, we went from administering 6,000 doses every day to administering up to 86,000 doses in a single day."

Rogelio Mayta, foreign minister of Bolivia pointed out, "For now, Bolivia can be assured that in a couple of months, we believe that we will be fine, almost free of the pandemic."
