OIC backs Saudi response to US report on Khashoggi

Sharjah 24 – KUNA: The Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) labelled a report handed to the US Congress on the killing of Jamal Khashoggi as having reached "incorrect conclusions," expressing support of Saudi Arabia's response to the document.
The report is "devoid of any conclusive evidence," OIC Secretary-General Yousef AlOthaimeen said in a statement, rejecting any infringements on the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia.

The OIC chief cited the independence of the Saudi judiciary, expressing support for the judicial measures taken against the perpetrators of the crime, who were brought to justice.

He went on to commend Riyadh's "pioneering role" in maintaining regional and global peaceand security, combating terrorism and working to promote moderation.
