Serve Arabic poetry, even if it comes late, I think we can catch up with the civilisational pace that we see in other countries, we are happy that this poetry was not distorted and left as it is. We are also happy that no one took, distorted or lost it, so now we revive it again. Bringing life into this subject of culture is a very important thing, because poetry is an emotion, and poetry is not like writing a story or a novel, but it is a writing that stems from conscience and emotion.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in a meeting of Arab writers and poets, 2020.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah begins his speech to the elite of writers, poets and interested people from different Arab countries, that work must be done to revive Arabic poetry, publish it, excavate it, study it, criticize it, and teach it to new generations. These works make intellectuals and officials together strive to serve Arabic poetry it is a service related to the lives of individuals and societies, since Arabic poetry is the vessel of great culture and history.

In this vessel we find descriptions of customs and traditions, history, events, facts, analyzes, wise looks, and everything that was about Arab societies at many and multiple moments of history and because of the importance place of poetry in the heart of the Arab, we must pay attention to poetry, work to develop it, and take care of poets, just as all other countries.

His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, points to several advantages that the poetry community recognises and His Highness appreciates it as he is a historian, poet, and interested in development of society, the first of which is that Arabic poetry finds someone who cares about it, and the second is that great interest in poetry can be reached, and the third is that Arabic poetry exists and is not lost or distorted.

Depending on this diagnosis and a realistic view, the "Resurrection of Life" project, as His Highness called it, can begin with the clarity of the goal, which is to restore the shine and luster of Arabic poetry within the broad interest in culture and the Arabic language, which are the basis of society and its pride for development and advancement. Sharjah also believes that building the human being is the guarantee of the future.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah provided a simple and comprehensive definition of poetry, as it is the conscience of the nation, and poetry for Arabs specifically, as His Highness mentioned, is the vessel in which talents, wisdom, abilities, dates, stories, expressions, hopes and aspirations of the Arab community. Poetry, as His Highness explained, is writing that stems from conscience and emotion, which gives it additional characteristics of expression, social, psychological and cultural, all leading to a deep and true belonging to society. These data make poetry, and the rest of the culture components that the emirate works on, the cornerstone of the individuals' education.
