Sharjah24: Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped continues harvesting new achievements in the local athletics tournaments by recording distinguished results in the second gathering of athletics organised by the UAE Paralympic Committee and hosted by the Dubai Club for Disabled People .

The international champion Badr Abbas was took the lead in the 800-meter and 1500 wheelchair-bound competitions for the T54 category. He also won the second place in the 400-meter competition and in the 100-meter competitions for the T37 category. Player Nada Tawfiq achieved first place for girls and player Yahya Al Balushi achieved first place for the same competition for males, and player Farhan Iqbal came the third place. 

Ahmed Salem Al Madloum, praised the significant results that the club’s players have achieved, affirming that the main objective of the participation is to prepare and qualify the players to the international tournaments.
