Sharjah Youth trains its members in online entrepreneurship skills

Sharjah24: In line with its development strategy to support the skills of its members in the entrepreneurship sector, The Sharjah Youth (SY), affiliated to the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, has organised a distance training program entitled "Your Way to Establish your Project Electronicly”, within its specialized programs aimed for young people aged 13 to 18.

The program, presented by consultant and media advisor Hazaa Ibrahim al-Mansouri, was set up to educate members about business ethics and to give them the skills needed to start a private business, and how to turn ideas into promising projects and investments in cyberspace.

The program included several important topics, the most prominent of which is the definition of the concept of e-commerce, how to reach and sort ideas and choose the most suitable ones to establish the most appropriate electronic projects through social networking sites, and teach participants the skills of studying project ideas and providing products that meet the needs of the target customers and determine their prices in an appropriate way, and how to prepare plans for the implementation of projects and marketing them.

Participants were trained in a range of skills including the art of communicating with others and the basics of presentation, the most effective tools in marketing, which include interesting content, product photography and interaction with public questions and queries, as well as how to use WhatsApp services to support entrepreneurial projects in Instagram, in addition to summarizing the operational stages of the project from the issuance of the license to the launch.

Ali Darwish, a member of Kalba Youth Center, said: "Through the program, I learned the foundations of building a successful project on social media sites, starting with choosing the idea and planning the right project, choosing the right methods of marketing, implementing and evaluating the project on an ongoing basis."
