SEWA intensifies efforts to operate two 33kV stations

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has intensified its efforts to complete the implementation of two distribution stations with a voltage of 33 kilovolts (kV), in the regions of Nizwa and Al Dhaid , as well as to modify the networks in the two areas, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to exercise the Authority's competencies, deliver electricity, water and gas services and supervise them in the central region in all its regions and cities.
His Excellency Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, stated that the Authority will intensify its efforts to complete the two stations, modify the networks on time, and develop a plan in coordination with the Federal Electricity and Water Authority to continue providing services efficiently.

During the coming period the Authority will work to implement a number of development projects related to networks and distribution stations in the cities of the central region, aiming to keep pace with the great development plan, in cooperation with all government agencies.

He pointed out that under the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, the cities of the Central Region are witnessing an urban renaissance, highlighting the importance of the infrastructure projects, especially those related to electricity, water and natural gas networks.

Commenting on this, Eng. Khalifa Al-Tunaiji, Director of the Central Region Administration, has underscored the importance of continuing the work to operate the two stations, shedding light on the significance of providing advanced services to the people of the Central Region.
 
He explained that the Al Batayeh area of the central region is considered the first administrative and technical part of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, as the Authority has built two 33 kV electrical stations in the area to serve the residents and to supply commercial and industrial projects with electricity, in addition to providing electricity to the new government buildings.
