Bahrain warns US recognition of Al Quds threatens Middle East peace

Sharjah 24-WAM: The Kingdom of Bahrain has affirmed that the decision of the US administration to recognise Al Quds as the capital of Israeli occupation threatens the peace process in the Middle East and disrupts all initiatives and negotiations to reach the anticipated final solution.

According to the Bahrain News Agency, BNA, the Kingdom said that it is also a clear violation of international resolutions that affirm the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people without any prejudice to them and that East Al Quds is an occupied territory whose occupation must be ended.

Bahrain has also stressed its steadfastness in supporting the aspirations of the Palestinian people and their legitimate right to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 4th June, 1967 borders with East  Al Quds as its capital, stressing the importance of preserving the pivotal role of the US to reach a two-state solution based on international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
