Iraqi MPs to visit Saudi Arabia for boosting ties

Sharjah 24 – KUNA: An Iraqi parliamentary delegation is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia on Tuesday on a mission aimed at boosting the bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries.
Chairman of the Iraqi-Gulf Friendship Committee MP Hassan Shuwaired said in a statement to KUNA that the delegation, which he would head, would comprise 10 MPs representing various political parties.

“The Iraqi legislators will meet members of the Saudi Shura Council to discuss means of boosting the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries,” he added to the Kuwaiti News Agency.

The delegation will seek to enhance the political and economic rapprochement between Baghdad and Riyadh.

Iraqi-Saudi relations have noticeably improved recently with reciprocal visits by officials from the two countries.
