The UAE took a five-goal lead into half-time at 13-8 before South Korea mounted a second-half comeback to move 24-22 ahead with less than two minutes remaining. The UAE levelled the score with 20 seconds left, but South Korea netted the winning goal in the closing moments to seal the title.

The UAE had already secured qualification for the 2027 IHF Men's Junior World Championship, to be held in North Macedonia in July 2027, after reaching the semi-finals of the Asian championship.
