Pink Caravan returns with free breast screening

Sharjah 24: Badr Al Juaidi, Head of Programmes at the Friends of Cancer Patients, said that the second edition of the Pink Caravan event has begun at Aljada, following its giant success last year. As part of the global Pink October campaign, the community awareness project provides free mammography screenings (early detection of breast cancer via X-rays) and clinical evaluations.

Al Juaidi told "Sharjah 24" that the Pink Caravan welcomes families and the larger community, offering numerous activities for youngsters from October 10 to 12, between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The campaign aims to foster a health-conscious society and encourage people to have regular medical check-ups, as early identification is critical for detecting diseases in their early stages and increasing recovery prospects.

The Pink Caravan event also features awareness sessions, interactive workshops, sports and health-related activities, play spaces for all ages, and educational and recreational programs for children.
