Flooding strikes southern China as heatwave grips other regions

Sharjah 24 – WAM: On Sunday, China's National Meteorological Centre issued an alert for high temperatures affecting multiple regions across the country. Meanwhile, several southern provinces issued severe flood warnings due to heavy rains, Reuters reported.
The centre indicated that the intensity of high temperatures is expected to decrease in northern China and the regions between the Yellow River and the Huaihe River.

Forecasts predict maximum temperatures of 37-39 degrees Celsius (99-102 degrees Fahrenheit) in parts of Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Henan on Sunday.
