Sharjah24: His Excellency Prof. Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, inaugurated the second Strategic Performance Forum for the academic year 2023/2024. The event was held at the Sharjah Media City (Shams).

The forum addressed various topics related to the university's strategic plan, including presentations on the strategic performance scorecards of the faculties, deanships, centers, and administrative units.

The event was attended by the university's vice-chancellors, deans of faculties, directors of centres and departments, and members of both the academic and administrative staff.

At the beginning of the forum, Al-Khalaf delivered a presentation on the strategic performance indicators and the university's achievements in scientific research, community service, and academic programmes. He highlighted the university's accreditation of eight programmes by the Commission for Academic Accreditation of the Ministry of Education, marking a significant step towards enhancing Al Qasimia University's reputation as a leading educational institution attracting students from around the world. This success is attributed to the unwavering support and full patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Founder of Al Qasimia University.

Dr. Al-Khalaf discussed the current state of the university's strategic performance, the targeted performance indicators achieved, and the monitoring and evaluation stages of the university's strategic goals. He elaborated on the university's accomplishments in education, scientific research, and community service through sustainable partnerships with various entities. These partnerships are facilitated by signing memoranda of understanding with several national and international institutions, offering professional training and development programs, employing national talents, and attracting students from different countries in line with the university's strategic goals for the academic year 2023-2024, derived from the fundamental strategic objectives for 2020-2025.

Subsequently, the deans of the faculties and the directors of centres and units presented their operational plans, goal measurement results, performance indicators, and several actions to ensure continuous improvement of the university's strategic plan.

The forum concluded with several recommendations to ensure the continuous achievement of the university's strategic goals in the upcoming period. These recommendations aim to elevate Al Qasimia University's stature, achieve more accomplishments, offer the best education and knowledge to its students, and enhance its scientific, humanitarian, and community roles in alignment with its strategic plan. This is all made possible by the absolute support from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the diligent oversight of His Excellency Jamal Salem Al-Tarifi, President of the University, ensuring comprehensive strategic planning and the realization of Al Qasimia University's forward-looking vision and global mission.
