Signing of AED73.5m agreement between ECRD and Mubadala

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chairman of the Emirates Council for Rural Development, attended the signing of a AED73.5m agreement between the Emirates Council for Rural Development and Mubadala. The agreement aims to fund projects and programs to enhance the quality of life across the country.
This MoU reflects a strategic partnership between the government and private sectors to support the Emirates Villages program. Mohammed Khalifa Bakhit Al Kaabi, Secretary General of the Emirates Council for Rural Development, highlighted the council's commitment to sustainable development in villages and regions across the UAE. He emphasized the importance of partnerships with the private sector to achieve this vision.

Homaid Abdulla Al Shimmari, Mubadala’s Deputy CEO, expressed their commitment to making a positive impact on the community through this partnership. The agreement establishes cooperation in various fields to achieve the council’s objectives, including supporting economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for citizens and residents.

The Emirates Villages project focuses on sustainable development, historical preservation, and supporting small and medium enterprises, with the aim of promoting domestic tourism and contributing to social development.
