Sharjah 24: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) seeks to instill the notion of sustainability in philanthropic and humanitarian activities by transforming assistance beneficiaries into active and influential members of the development process.
The society is inspired by the enlightened leadership of the United Arab Emirates, which acknowledged the need for humanitarian activity from the start. Without a doubt, the society is one of the country's active arms in the scope of external aid projects that give year-round assistance to people in disadvantaged nations.

The society's goal is to develop remote regions and improve living circumstances for vulnerable families; hence, it has prioritised supporting productive family initiatives.

According to Mohammed bin Nassar, Director of the Corporate Communications and Marketing Department, the organisation was able to deliver 1,283 productive projects last year (2023) at a total cost of AED 2,268,830. A number of nations that received foreign help executed these programmes, including 449 projects in Asia, 698 comparable projects in Africa, and 136 fruitful projects in Europe.

He stated that the projects completed included providing fishermen with boats and fishing equipment, assisting farmers with livestock farming projects, constructing and equipping sales outlets with vegetables and fruits, and providing transportation in developing countries.

The association helped women widows and divorcees in the sewing industry attain self-sufficiency. It also provided mill workers with grain mills to help them earn an income to cover their living expenses, as well as fish farming initiatives, product and clothing sales, car wash machines, sugar cane presses, and beehives.

Mohammed bin Nassar urged donors to provide additional funding for the "productive families" initiative, noting that the society has several programs to assist poor families that it hopes to undertake among qualified groups in over 110 countries throughout the world.

He thanked the benefactors and participants who supported the completed projects, which benefited many deserving groups, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country's embassies in the countries receiving external aid, and praised the implementing agencies' cooperation for the society's projects.
