Sharqiya Kalba TV launched a distinctive programme under the title “From the Market.” The programme that aims to support local projects in the Eastern Region and introduce the public to the diversity and quality of local products. It also examines the challenges that these projects faced when they were launched and how they were overcome until they became a reality that supports the local economy and provides jobs for the youth of the region and promoting local tourism. The programme episodes are shot in a number of distinctive markets in the region, such as Al Hosn Market, the Kalba Heritage Market, and the old market in the city of Khorfakkan, in addition to the shops in Shees Rest House, where project owners and craftsmen are hosted to present their products. This beautiful custom is an opportunity to enhance communication and bonding between women. The programme has a share of its name, as “fawala” is an old Emirati name that means what is presented to the guest, such as fruit, sweets, and other things.
