Sharjah24: The Sharjah Charity International's Project: (Hardship Relief), supported by its donors, has aided 2077 cases over the past year. All of these individuals were debtors facing accumulated debts with executive judgments issued against them. The association collaborates with relevant authorities in correctional facilities across different emirates to enhance its humanitarian role. This includes identifying individuals serving sentences due to financial debt issues, aiming to provide social support to those most deserving, and determining assistance that can bring joy into their lives.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of (SCI), emphasised the Association's commitment to the humanitarian programmes, which receive substantial support from donors. These programmes aim to stabilise families by reuniting them with their providers through debt repayment, facilitating their release from incarceration resulting from financial delinquency.

Bin Khadim stated that the Assistance Committee has approved support for 2077 cases, covering housing arrears and other essential family needs, totaling AED 9.1 million. This support is provided to eligible cases, including those serving sentences, as well as those on the verge of incarceration.

He noted that the association provides suitable support to families of convicts, such as providing basic necessities required for their livelihoods. The Association operates year-round in its hardship relief project to open a new window of hope for eligible cases, aiming to foster social solidarity and cooperation, reduce social disparities, and ensure dignified living for all members of society. This is achieved by alleviating the suffering of debtors in various legal matters, executing shared strategic objectives in humanitarian charity work, and overcoming obstacles affecting social stability. Bin Khadim expressed sincere gratitude to donors who supported the association's humanitarian initiatives and appreciated the collaboration of relevant authorities in providing cases facing dire living conditions.
