Sharjah24: Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, the Executive Director of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), affirmed that the Emirate of Sharjah continues to achieve accomplishments and impressive figures, as legislations and laws, including foreign ownership, have contributed to these successes.

In an interview with Sharjah 24, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer,  stated that foreign ownership and promotion of projects have played a significant role in Sharjah ranking fifth as the fastest-growing city in the world in terms of foreign direct investment in 2023.

 Al Qaseer mentioned that Shurooq witnesses this through the existing legislations and the infrastructure of the Emirate, as a developer in the real estate, hotel, and tourism sectors.

Al Qaseer explained that the new legislations, particularly regarding foreign ownership, have contributed to the growth of direct investment. He highlighted that both real estate and hotel projects facilitate foreign investors in making quick decisions to start their businesses or invest in the Emirate.

Al Qaseer emphasized that Shurooq's role in promoting these projects has greatly contributed to shining Sharjah's reputation, not only at the regional level but also globally.
